petit mal

words in a fist
fingers curled, clenched
one bound to the next
pearls of thought strung
for the only one.
To soften
To breathe them
know them
and catch them
Before they fall around.

turn of phrase
safe in a veil of night
easing the thunder of an angel between
rolling on a jazz pulse,
alighting for the only one.
To hold
To save them
unveil them
and sing them
Before they fade away.

  1. The expression of a seizure in this form is both fascinating, and softer than the moment it happens. I enjoyed the read!
