Bondage

Free?
You should know better.
Pretty words and poisoned veins.
Eyes hide lies, smiles hide stains.
Dancing tongues mask broken pains.
Skipping sly in tangled chains.
Free. Means nothing.
Hope. Is a fallacy.

  1. Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose has been replaced by this gem.

I love the nihilism and the sexy delivery

  2. Very well-written. I especially like the last 2 lines about freedom and hope.

  3. You are so clever with words. This reminds me of The Shawshank Redemption, whose theme about freedom and hope is perfectly juxtaposed by your piece.
